Study: Fears over kids' online safety overblown

A new study from the National School Boards Association (US) suggests that online fears are misplaced and that the majority of kids have never had an unknown adult ask them for personal information.

I read the study done by the NSBA about social-networking sites with much enthusiasm. If we are talking about m.l. we should also keep in mind the sponsors for the study (Microsoft, Google, Yahoo) and ask ourselves how this study and its results might benefit those businesses.
Just asking.
